Sam Shabel graduated from Cullman High School in Cullman, Alabama. He went on to study at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in both political science and religious studies. Sam received his Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During law school, Sam interned with the Legal Rights Center and the Honorable Gina M. Brandt in Hennepin County. After passing the bar, Sam served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Kevin A. Lund in Olmsted County.
Sam practices in the areas of civil litigation, criminal defense, and personal injury. Mr. Shabel also represents clients in civil commitment, guardianship, and conservatorship proceedings.
